
After installing and activating the WooCommerce plugin and customizing the appearance, the next step is to add products to WooCommerce that you will sell in your online store. This tutorial explains how to create products in WooCommerce. Using WooCommerce, you can easily create products and group them by category, tag, and attribute. 1. Log in to the Website Admin Dashboard
To add a product that you want to sell, first enter the admin dashboard of your WordPress website via www.site-name.com/wp-admin Then enter your account username and password. Then click Log In.
2. Go to the WooCommerce Products Panel
After you have successfully logged in to the admin dashboard, click on the panel. Products To access and manage your products, the first time you see a display like the image below.

Through this panel you will find 5 sub-menus as seen in the image above.
All Products: to manage all your products,
Add New: to create new products,
Category: to organize and add product categories,
Tags: to organize and add product tags.
Attribute: to add product attributes.
3. Create a New Product Category
Before you start creating a product, it's a good idea to create a product category first so the steps you take are more sequential and detailed. To create a category, click the sub-menu. Categories on the panel Products.
Then in the section “Add new category” Enter the details of the category you want to create
- Name - is the identity displayed on the front end of your website.
- Slug – is the permalink of your product category archive.
- Parent Category – is the parent category of the category you are creating. This new category will be a subcategory of the parent category. If the parent category is empty, the new category will become the parent category.
- Description – is a short description that describes the category you created, the category description can also improve the SEO of the category archive you will create.
- Display Type – is the type of display of your category, the options are Ddefault (normal view), Products (when a visitor opens a category archive, what is displayed is a list of products in that category), Ssubcategories (when a visitor opens a category archive, what is displayed are the sub-categories of that category) and Bothers (displayed is a list of products and their sub-categories).
- Thumbnail – are photos that are displayed in a category either in a list or when opened.
After you have completed the form, click New category additions As shown above, save your new product category. If successful, your new category or subcategory will appear in the category list meta box as shown below.
4. Create a New Product Tag
You can group your products based on tags. This differs from categories, which group products by type. By using tags, you can group products within a specific category, providing a better experience for your website visitors. For example, you could use the tags "women's clothing" and "men's clothing" to group products by gender.
To create a product tag, click Tags on the panel Product WooCommerce. To add tags, you can fill in the fields provided in the section Add new tag. Add name, slug And description tag your product.
After you have completed the columns above, click Tadd new tag to save your new tag.
5. Create New Product Attributes
Before proceeding to the next step, you should create attributes for the product you are about to create. Product attributes allow you to add additional information about your product, such as size, color, code, and more. To create attributes, click the submenu. Attribute on the WooCommerce Products panel. To create a new attribute, fill in the fields provided in the Add new attribute. Complete the following fields, then click the button “Add features”

To add content to the attributes that have been created, please click “Term configuration”

In the configuration column, please fill in the attributes according to the attributes created, as in the image below. For other attributes, the filling is the same (e.g. size M, L, XL, etc.)

6. Adding New Products
To create your new product, click Add New in the WooCommerce Products panel. You'll then be linked to a page for creating a new product, as shown in the following image.

Here are the steps to create a new product in WooCommerce.
Adding Product Title
Write your product title in the title column (1). The title will be displayed in your online store's product catalog.
Adding Product Detail Description
Create a detailed product description in column (2). A complete description can make your customers more confident in making transactions in your online store.
Adding Product Information
The product information column (3) contains important information regarding the product you are selling. It is recommended that you complete this column if you have sufficient information about your product. This step will explain how to create a product information column. simple product (products that are tangible such as clothes, property, sports equipment, electronic goods and household equipment).
General Tab
On the General tab/General You can fill in general information about your product.- Normal price is the normal selling price of your product.
- Sale Price (optional) is the selling price when you lower the selling price from the usualGeneral Tab

- SKU – stands for Stock Keeping Unit, which is a unique identifier for a product. You can only create an SKU for one product, meaning you must name other products with different SKUs.
- Manage stock? – Check if you want to enter the quantity of your product available. Stock will automatically decrease when a new customer orders.
- Stock quantity – Number of available product stocks.
- Allow backorders – Select an option Allow or allow, but tell the customer (with notification) if the product you are selling can be ordered before stock is available/sufficient.
- Stock threshold is low
- Sold separately – Check the box to specify that the product can only be ordered in one order. This means that the product order is unique and cannot be combined with other products.
- Shipping Tab

Shipping Product Information
The Shipping tab provides information on the size and weight of the item, which are used as variables to calculate the shipping cost for that product, whether using shipping class or other shipping APIs. Enter Weight (product weight), Dimensions (length, width and height of the product) and Shipping Class (if you create shipping prices manually).
Linked Products Tab
Linked Product
The Linked Products tab links your products to other products. There are two columns: Upsells serves to provide recommendations for other related products, for example better, more expensive or cheaper products. Cross-sells serves to provide recommendations for related products that complement the product, for example, customers who buy a jacket can be recommended gloves.

Attributes Tab
The Attributes tab allows you to add attribute information to the product you wish to add. You can see how to add attributes in the image above. Select the attribute type in column (1), for example, size, then click add so that the options appear in the value(s) column (2). Select attribute availability, then you can check column (3) if you want to display size availability on the front end of the online store. Finally, click save attributes to save.

Advanced Information
You can add other information such as Purchase note (notes that appear on the customer's order page when purchasing a product), Order Menu (Product order in the list in the customer order details) and Enabled Reviews (tick if you want to open a comment column for this product).
Meta box Product Short Description
This meta box is used as an alternative to displaying a brief product description in your product list or in the quick view plugin you're using. If you leave it blank, a detailed description will be displayed.

Adding Categories to Products
To add a product category, you can check an existing category or create a new category by clicking + Add new category.
Adding Tags to Products
To add a tag, you can type an existing tag directly and then click Plus. You can add multiple tags by using commas (,).
Adding Main Product Image
To add a main image, add the image via the meta box. Product Images, click Set Product Images
Adding Product Gallery
To add a photo gallery you can use the meta box Product Gallery. Click Add product gallery images. Then select the product photos you want to create. Press Ctrl while selecting photos through the media library to add to the gallery faster.
Publish
Save your product using the meta box next to it. You can save it as a draft (Save Draft) or publish it directly (Publish). To see a preview, click preview.
